I thought Stralang was a very good choice for a language school here in Strasbourg. It was affordable yet the classes were still relatively small and the contact with the teacher was direct and personal.
They stress not only learning the grammar from the book but also being able to use it in conversations. They also talk about French culture which helps you understand the language better. While the cultural activities were a little disorganized, they were fun nonetheless.
