A- Intensive French Course (20 hours/week)

General French, French culture and society for A0, A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 levels (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFRL).

Schedule: 4 hours per day, 5 days per week.

General French classes are held every morning from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm and every afternoon from 12.15 to 1.15 pm, from Monday to Friday in level groups (A0 to C1 level).

The course’s objectives correspond to the standards and recommendations set within the framework of the CEFRL. Our students improve their written and oral comprehension and expression skills, their oral expression and writing skills, as they extend their knowledge about French culture and society.

Tutoring: 3 extra hours are offered every week conditional on the availability of teachers (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) from 1.30 to 2.30 pm for students registered in an intensive program.

B- Standard French Course (15 hours/week)

General French, French culture and society for A0, A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 levels (according to the CEFRL).

Schedule: 3 hours per day, 5 days per week.

General French classes are held every morning from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm, from Monday to Friday in level groups (A0 to C1 level).

The course’s objectives correspond to the standards and recommendations set within the framework of CEFRL. Our students improve their written and oral comprehension and expression skills, their oral expression and writing skills, as they extend their knowledge about French culture and society.

Tutoring: 1 extra hour per week offered on the day of your choice, conditional on the availability of teachers (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) from 1.30 to 2.30 pm for students registered in a standard program.

C- Private Lessons 

General or specialised French, Individual lessons with a teacher for A0, A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 levels (according to the CEFRL).

Schedule: any time during the year, depending on demand.

Days/hours: to be decided with your teacher, in accordance with their availability.

Teaching method

At Stralang Institute, our aim is to teach languages by focusing on interaction and communication. We follow the student’s progress while concentrating our efforts on strengthening their oral and written skills. Our programs and course objectives correspond to the standards established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).

Students receive a completion certificate at the end of each session indicating the level they have reached based on the CEFRL.

Learning material

  • The course material is provided free of charge by the Institute (at the beginning of the training only) to students registered in an intensive program for a minimum period of a semester. After this period, it will be charged to the student.
  • Students can borrow books and DVDs and have access to a computer and free Wi-Fi at the Institute.

Evaluation

  • Weekly tests are organized to better evaluate the student’s level and progress.
  • The student takes a final test at the end of the learning session to assess their level.
  • Preparation courses for the TCF, DELF and DALF examinations are also available for students.
  • The institute delivers a completion certificate at the end of the program indicating the total hour count of the training and the number of ECTS credits obtained by the student, as well as the level reached according to the CEFRL.
